A quick run down of things I loved about the wedding weekend. So much more than this but these are the things I remembered first!
Having so many family and friends in town for our wedding weekend.
Taking off early for a few days of finalizing our plans and getting everything set up at the venue. Looked perfect!
Doing the rehearsal at my parents place and realizing I was finally getting to marry Courtney!
Qdoba for rehearsal dinner. Don’t act surprised!
Waking up early to get ready to drive up to the venue and seeing one little patch of blue where everything else was dark and rainy.
Standing at the outside ceremony spot and getting snowed on with 15 minutes to go. We were under a tree and waiting for it to be sunny again like it was 45 minutes earlier!
Moving the ceremony inside for an intimate setting that worked out better than we could have ever imagined.
Seeing all the people we care about in our lives sitting/standing waiting to see us join our lives forever. Blessed.
The processional. Too perfect! Explosions in the Sky – Your Hand In Mine
Waiting for Courtney and her dad to come down the stairs. Legs were bouncing. Couldn’t wait!
The way we couldn’t stop staring at each other.
Brittany singing for us as we did the mixing of the sand. Wish we had this on video!
Having one of our best friends do our ceremony. Thanks a ton Scott! It was perfect!
The way Courtney broke into tears as she said “husband” during our vows.
Saying “I will”.
Having awesome pictures with the family and wedding party!
The receiving line with our amazing guests!
Getting a chance to hang out with all of our guests instead of a formal dinner. Best decision ever!
Seeing how well our friends mixed. Runners/high school/dance/out of town. Amazing.
The food! Elyse did a perfect job with this. Thanks!
Our first dance! We couldn’t stop smiling and laughing. It was finally here!
Rachel moving the chair to the dance floor during the father/daughter dance.
Eating a ton of spanakopita and kolaches and fruit tarts and . . .
Colorado and Texas beer. Naturally.
The look in our eyes as we picked up our cupcakes. Only one outcome was possible.
Having so much fun you can’t remember everything that happened. Seeing pictures and saying, “Oh yeah!”
The dollar dance to ke$ha and LMFAO.
This:
Drinking champagne in the bridal room after the reception. Hilarious.
Coming back for the after party and Courtney taking a nap.
Volleyball. 11 – 11?
So much food left over we were passing it out like halloween candy.
Going to our hotel downtown without any extra clothes or anything else because we were too tired to go home!
BEING MARRIED!
What a way to spend the day through Saturday. I’ll post more about it but I just wanted to write a few things down that I didn’t want to forget!
Thanks again to everyone that could come and that made it a PERFECT day. It seriously could not have gone better. I think CC and I said, “That was so perfect” about 30 times over the weekend. It really does go by fast and we appreciated everything that happened and enjoyed the whole day. So blessed!

That’s an awesome recap. I especially like the way your posts are your thoughts/memories. It was indeed a special time and I’m glad you were able to appreciate every little aspect of it. Thanks for letting me join in on part of the celebration!
Thanks for coming Ben! Had a blast!
“Qdoba for rehearsal dinner. Don’t act surprised!” <—- Priceless! Haha.
